About iSpheresImage

ISpheresImage is an image collection management tool, users are able to store, organise, share and publish images with others. Aa a web application iSpheresImage is designed to connect to large repositries; from development to archival stages; and enable faculties to securely manage the copyright, publication, metadata schemas and currency of data.

Professionals such as teachers, researchers, lecturers, managers and publicists are able to develop presentations on the fly, and access nifty features such as GoogleMap©. Students gain access to valuable learning and research material, through customisation of the metadata associated with image objects in the collection.

The Software is designed to as a solution where there is a need for a stand alone web situation, an image management tool for a enterprise portal and the image compenent for the distributed iSpheres.

ISpheresImage is a cross platform solution, utilising opensource technologies including:

  • PHP (http://www.php.net/)
  • MySQL (http://dev.mysql.com/)
By its design iSpheresImage thrives in a multiuser environment, giving communities greater access and greated control to image resources. User authentication may be customised to use existing local user databases, minimising user setup and configuration.

Setting up an iSphereImage is a simple process which, for a default setup, can take less then on hour. The simple customisation of metadata, enables administration to add/remove fields as needed.

ISpheresImage may also be customised specific to an individual need within a faculty or organisation.
