About iSpheresPHPClient

ISpheresPHPClient provides a PHP SOAP client connection to an iSpheresCore server. The ispherephpclient provides a set of libraries which can be used to connect a web site, or multiple web sites, to the resources provided in the iSpheresCore.

The iSpheresPHPClient provides

• Search, retrieval and manipulation of digital objects and metadata records
• Testing interface
• Advanced searching with Lucene query syntax passthru
• Local digital object caching

The iSpheresPHPClient is dependent on the PEAR SOAP package for web services.

Live Sites

The following projects are incorperating the iSpheresPHPClient:

• Wilson Anatomy Museum - Run by Department of Anatomy and Histology the museum is comprised of digitized specimens used for medical instruction and research. [Not open to the public]
• The Interactive Centre for Human Diseases (Pathology Museum) - Run by the Department of Pathology the museum provides a large collection of specimens for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. [Not open to the public, currently in development]
